It would have been easy to announce support for twenty languages on day one. We chose not to.

Why we started with seven

We focused on the languages that together cover the largest number of real customers and communities our users actually serve: Luganda, Swahili, Acholi, Ateso, Lugbara, Runyankole, and Kinyarwanda.

These languages give meaningful coverage across Central, Eastern, Northern, and Western Uganda, plus the wider East African region through Swahili and Kinyarwanda.

Quality over quantity

Every language we support needs to produce natural, usable business SMS — not stiff or awkward phrasing. We preferred to ship fewer languages that work well for real fee reminders, loan notices, and customer updates, rather than a long list that only looks good in a feature comparison.

More languages will come. We will add them when we are confident the translations are accurate and useful for everyday business communication.
